I was wondering why the GEFS mean was so different from the operational at this range.

12Z HRRR actually was a pretty significant drop in snow around northeast Ms to shoals area in nw AL when compared to 06Z. 12Z NAM running now

Yeah I noticed that. I look for the rest of the cams to follow that trend shortly

NAM looks more south this run once more. Seems the trend hasn't stopped yet.

Yeah, I checked it too. It's a little closer to what GaWx had but still nothing over the city...just more to the West. None of the short range models are showing the 850's or 2m temps getting cold enough over Atl. My sister and other folks in Chat. should do well.

It’s crazy how they shifted so much inside 24 hours and after the NWS issued the WSW and WWAs.

We should be nowcasting instead of looking at the nam lol if anything the HRRR would be better since it's getting in the range of 18 hours.

It's cause it didn't show the unrealistic 7 inches . Anyone that wouldn't take that nam run in almost mid March is an idiot

Along and 30 miles NW of the transition line in east AL may get some good rates before the moisture moves out.....going to be some fatties falling on 50 degree wet ground.

Looks like the models are picking up on a shaft zone as the energy transfers to the rapidly deepening low. Not buying amounts, but that makes sense.

Deeper that low is and further south it migrates too will mean bigger snowfall totals.
