12Z HRRR actually was a pretty significant drop in snow around northeast Ms to shoals area in nw AL when compared to 06Z. 12Z NAM running now
Yeah I noticed that. I look for the rest of the cams to follow that trend shortly

Tropical Tidbits doesn’t either.
Yeah, I checked it too. It's a little closer to what GaWx had but still nothing over the city...just more to the West. None of the short range models are showing the 850's or 2m temps getting cold enough over Atl. My sister and other folks in Chat. should do well.

And that puts us into the more safe area. Pretty nice shift to see something.

We should be nowcasting instead of looking at the nam lol if anything the HRRR would be better since it's getting in the range of 18 hours.

Along and 30 miles NW of the transition line in east AL may get some good rates before the moisture moves out.....going to be some fatties falling on 50 degree wet ground.

It's gonna be a now-cast scenario later for sure... It's could be all just a very cold rain, a sleet factory, a solid snowfall or a combo of all 3

The NAM 12km is off it’s rockers for all of VA btw. Just classic NAM things

Intense QPF on the GFS, it will not snow long by the looks of it, but when/if it does then it should be heavy.
