I just want to take a second to thank the mod team for not banning me on the new storm that I’m not in favor for the past couple of days. I want to post more on why it’s not favorable for many to get winter weather but I’m being very careful.

Actually (assuming I understand your point), this is why I say that a lot of snow lovers will NOT be happier moving north. The folks I’m talking about will always look at whether or not they meet or exceed climo to determine whether they’re content.
as opposed to simply being content with higher amounts and frequency of snow. So, for example, someone moves from Savannah’s annual average of 0.2”/T or more of snow only every 5 years climo to RDU’s 5” or so climo. Let’s say they experience 3” snow/year in RDU for the next 10 years or a whopping 30” vs Savannah’s average of only 2” every ten years. Despite a 15 fold increase in snow, the folks that have to meet climo will still be pissed because they didn’t get at least 50”!

Yep. Visit the mid Atlantic forum and you’ll see it . The DC folks swear up and down they never get snow and are always rained or sleeted on. However , their snow average is over 3 times ours .

Anyways I agree with brick . Our best snows just are never warned here in wake county . So , when it is least expected it will snow .
