So NW trends aren't just for winter storms eh? Regardless of amount at least it looks like a good steady, widespread rain and potential for a nice soaker certainly is thereYeah the 12z NAM shifted the better FGEN south so that kind of stinks. It'll be close Wednesday but these setups almost always end up farther north
I don’t think anyone is in danger of setting any records. I still don’t know what the GFS is seeing to have these runs with early afternoon temps in the low 50s around here. The forecasts I’m seeing have temps basically around 60 which certainly well below average, but not at all completely unusual with widespread rainRecord low maximums coming in the next few days!! Congrats to my SE peeps!![]()
Not at all the average coldest may high is 62 here I believe so very normal.I don’t think anyone is in danger of setting any records. Interesting that the 3k is inching southWhat do you knowView attachment 83682
Had to dislike your post , never did this before but I had to . 54 seriously ? What do you even do on a washout day like that! That’s really close to the coldest may high in record .
You gotta love it when your 7 day forecast does not have a high over 75......in mid May in eastern NC......springs like this are rather elusive, I cant remember one recently or even in the last 10 or so years where we consistently had cooler dryer air masses....
I mean, we're getting a little rain, most of the days are absolutely gorgeous, and we even have a chance to set a record. Weather-wise, what more can you ask for? Dude!Had to dislike your post , never did this before but I had to . 54 seriously ? What do you even do on a washout day like that! That’s really close to the coldest may high in record .
It sorta loses its punch when every type of weather at every time of the year gets blamed on massive sea ice loss.I think it has a lot to do with the massive loss of sea ice.

Yeah lol. Besides our satellite record of sea ice goes back only to 1977 , a time of high sea ice and global cooling . Who knows what kind of range in sea ice century to century is normal ?It sorta loses its punch when every type of weather at every time of the year gets blamed on massive sea ice loss.
Maybe it's just called a cooler than average spring.I think it has a lot to do with the massive loss of sea ice.

but but but.... You're using logic and reasoning, and questioning my science. STAHP!Yeah lol. Besides our satellite record of sea ice goes back only to 1977 , a time of high sea ice and global cooling . Who knows what kind of range in sea ice century to century is normal ?
I don’t think you get really close to the record because most places in the Piedmont will probably see tomorrow’s highs set at midnight tonight and then hold in the 50s tomorrow with the rain. On a good night it does look like we see a good widespread soaking rain tomorrow which will only help make everything nice and green for what should be a beautiful weekend.I mean, we're getting a little rain, most of the days are absolutely gorgeous, and we even have a chance to set a record. Would have to get the rain in before midnight and wet bulb as much as possible to make a run at any minmaxes tomorrow not sure that's happening
