Question, why rent? Does this person have a retirement plan, stock, bonds, CD? 150k and no debt is great but 150k in a banking act doesn’t make money.
Person is me of course, I have 30% in investments. I was scared to buy a house this year with everything going on.
I’d like to find better investments but market is at all time highs

If you are under 40 you are good. If your 65 with only 150k saved, not so much.

Fair enough. I think if y’all don’t change your mind you guys are in good shape. I would say look into bonds and property. Seems like y’all have done great work so far.

If you are 31 with that much saved you are in great shape. Invest in a house with a 15 year mortgage. Real estate is always a good investment

You’ll never find interest rates as low as now. Quit paying someone else’s mortgage and invest in a house.
How old? This would be great shape for a person in their 20s, but horrible shape for some nearing retirement.
Agree. I got rid of some Amazon this morning and got Tesla. Wish I had done it last December instead. Also, not sure why you wouldn’t buy a house. Interest rates are low as hell.
