Pattern August Rush 2020

The poster above with 2.39 just yesterday is probably no more than 10 miles from me. I've had 8 the whole damn summer! Can't wait to say good riddance to this dumpster fire summer.

I've had a lot of rain up until August, if you look at the radar everyday it looks like I've probably had more than .97" for the month.

Is it like that at your house every summer? You would think the trees and other flora would be slightly different than those in other areas.

Don't worry this is a trap I'll get something crazy over the 2 week period then won't smell a drop for 45 days
We're pretty much on opposite sides of the seesaw

Its pretty much every summer that this particular area gets less than most surrounding areas. But its usually enough that the vegetation isn't different. And depending on how evenly its distributed like this year my yard looks good! I haven't had much, but I also haven't been on more than a 7 day dry streak which helps a lot.

Summer storms love to develop on the state line and collapse heading se and outflow fires again along and south of 85 leaving me high and dry.

Does your area have any ??

1. Complain
2. Make a huge statement about no rain and historic droughts
3. Post rain total

You are still at step 1

1. It never rains here!
2. Good thing i quit smoking, or i might catch my yard on fire in this incredibly dry weather. Going to take a tropical system to correct this historical drought.
3. I bought a snorkel.

Good start but you have to give the weather gods time to marinade between each statement.

Based on radar, I would go ahead and issue moderate risk for flooding today esp for Watauga, Ashe and Alleghany.

Dang dude I didn't think anybody could match me in failing! How much do you have since June 1st?

I have more than you. I messed with my weather station and wiped my historical data, but i think i'm around 12". It either gives me 0.03" Or 3"

AHPS has me at 20"-25, and right on the edge of the 25"-30", I only have 12ish" It's not that i don't get rain, I just half of what's within 15 Miles.

I need to pull that up for my area and see how off it is. I'm at only 8.6.

Radar blowing up over Wilkes. 421 already shutdown going to Boone.

Actually that map may not be far off as you think, even in your area. It goes back to mid May and May was extremely wet. I had 12 inches in May with 7 inches after mid May which is included in that. My problem started June 1st like somebody flipped a light switch. Come Sept 1st I would think the 90 day totals will be drastically different in this area!

Need a flash flood warning right now for Mount Airy, Sparta and Wilkesboro what are they waiting for

Do we need a thread for the moderate risk on day 2 for flooding?
