Pattern May-hem

... and just to keep the conversation progressing ...

I just went to lunch and came home for the day and my car temp was reading 47 degrees at 1:30 pm. I believe I said a few weeks ago that I saw my last 40s for highs until November. Not in a million years would I have thought I'd see 40s a few weeks later in early May.

So - who wants to do a quick pool/poll on your IMBY temps tonight?

I'll go @ 49º (46º would tie a record but with the wind - don't see it)

Thought a few weeks ago was the last I'd see of the winter like cool, damp, and raw CAD like weather, nope, saw it today too. Although it may not have been major CAD.

18Z GFS warms a bit for a short while, but gets back to this, consistent with earlier runs; we'll see but it sure is fun watchin'

18Z - "the one we toss"?

Good night!

Well a CAD day followed by clipper... Time to start the "Sun Angle" "Ground Temp" debate... Oh forgot that was for MArch not MAy... LOL

Models are starting to show some progression towards normal or very slightly AN going past the 15th, then some more cool until truncation (after which there's no reason to post); still getting a bit of cooperation (and some agreement to what the models are suggesting) from the NAO - not great but certainly better than it could be ...

This is quite impressive for this evening where I am at, if I am reading this right and if it is what the NAM is outputting.

I'm not even going to pretend to understand what this shows. I know what it is, but I am unsure of how to read it. Is there a tutorial on reading these somewhere? lol
