85 and muggy. It really doesn’t feel much better tbh.

It's still locked at 75 for the closest official station. It was 75-76 on our home thermometer when I came in. I'll be surprised if it creeps too far up. The low was typical of summer but unless we lose the clouds this is going to work for today.
I do see the CAD is failing in Atlanta proper and southwest.
Mid 70’s here...Inside the perimeter. I would not personally consider that a fail since we were 97 yesterday.

I've got 83 and mostly cloudy skies. Probably going to be just shy of 90 this afternoon. Better, but was hoping for more relief. Guess I'm waiting until Tuesday. That seems to be the cutoff for where the CAD is working from what I'm looking at in the NWS. When you go west and southwest, you get 82 with sun breaking through. That will probably get higher, just maybe not to 95+.
I’m on the south side of town today. The sun is out and it just feels kinda meh.Really?! Where are you? It’s 74 in North Buckhead. Son’s flag football game was very comfortable.

yep...if you see a temperature map, you can see exactly where the CAD is working in Georgia. I can't post it as my computer is acting up but if you are in the northern part of Fulton or DeKalb to the northeast, or just to the east and slightly ESE, it is working. To the north, it's not as effective but still not as bad as it was yesterday, to the south and southwest, it's a non-factor. They're all going to have to wait for the first fall front which is next week.
Meanwhile in the Birmingham area the record setting heat continues, 97 at 1:15 and rising.I'm on the NW side of town and the temp dropped from 81 to 76 over the past couple hours.
the temp gradient is insane today - I'm currently at 63.6Meanwhile in the Birmingham area the record setting heat continues, 97 at 1:15 and rising.
Uh!If the NWS is right, Birmingham will remain at or above 80 the next 7 days. Still above normal.

Noticeable uptick in forecast highs this week for ATL. Low to mid 80’s for highs and low 60’s for lows. I’m skeptical about the front next week. Seems to lose its punch as it comes East.
Well at least we have that mid September weather we’ve been clamoring for.

A good 5-10 above normalAnd at this point, those temps are a good bit above average.
Looks like 77 will be the "official" high. -20 on yesterday. Thank you CAD or we'd still be horribly hot.
75 at home "apparently" (-22 from yesterday for here) but I'm not so sure. Dad sometimes doesn't read the thermometer like I would. It's not a digital one.
I would imagine the high in Augusta was at midnight last night.
