This is getting harder than it should be
Night 1 is a no. The hell that is KRDU bottomed out at a toasty 36. KGSO only made it down to 34, too.
Night 2 isn’t looking promising, either, but we’ll see. It should be closer, but Wake County is only under a Frost Advisory. Durham County is under a Freeze Warning, however.
The same areas in the panhandle that are in the 20s now will be in the 80s this weekend !Found the cold air!View attachment 147192
ICON way east fwiw. I'd prefer it stay SW of me, y'all can have it, I still need to do a little drying outLooking like the heavy rain axis is moving off to the east again as we close in.
The reprehensible 12z NAM has the main swath right through the Triangle. 12K is between 2-3" and the 3K is between 3-5".ICON way east fwiw. I'd prefer it stay SW of me, y'all can have it, I still need to do a little drying out

We made it to 33 at KRDU last night. Close but no cigar. At this point, it looks like there’s a very decent chance 2/21 will be our last freeze of the season and we will blow through our record for the earliest freeze on record. Fitting for this hellish winter! We still technically have another month of chances, but it’s not looking great and I don’t see any shots over the next week. Our average last freeze is around the end of March / beginning of April
Around the area, GSO made it to 32, Burlington made it down to 29, and FAY made it to 34. No doubt the surrounding rural areas in the Triangle made it to 32 and maybe even where I’m at in Durham.
Wilmington has me in the 3-4 inch zone after we just had 2.25 last SaturdayLooking like the heavy rain axis is moving off to the east again as we close in.
Winter's last gasp in Ga seems to always be Master's weekend, so a cold snap in that time range isn't out of the question, but I'm not expecting snow. Just wind and jackets on the course, lol.Snow chase before the eclipse lmao
