I'm glad Phil posted this radar image as of 5:45PM. Look at that red spot just west of Savannah. It was then moving NNE. Just 10 minutes later, an apparent tornado destroyed an auto parts store just NW of Savannah near Garden City:

Interestingly, this storm wasn't even warned at the time! I believe this is the same storm that is now tornado warned near I-95 and I-26 in SC and still moving NNE.
 
Had some small limbs snapped off in west Durham with the storms earlier along the warm front.

Been popping unannounced all day - one NW of Waycross around lunch ....

Looks like we could be in for a bumpy night. Of course, we have had these threats before without even any storms around. That seems to be the norm more often than not these days.

Temp up to low 70s too. I think they will extend the watch a bit north.

The one to the east of Beaufort looks like it's getting it's act together and there are a few more strong cells offshore

Saw early report of up to 20+ homes damaged while TOG was still going on, it's let off the gas for now, hopefully for good.
