Event extended (area): Winter Weather Advisory for Alexander, NC, Catawba, NC, Iredell, NC, Rowan, NC, Caldwell, NC, Burke, NC
* WHAT...Sleet and freezing rain. Sleet accumulations up to a
quarter inch and ice accumulations of a trace to one tenth inch
are expected.

* WHERE...The northern foothills and piedmont and western North
Carolina.

* WHEN...Until noon EDT Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The sleet and ice will result in very
slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges.

RDU has flipped over to rain and snow mix. Hillsborough and Burlington points westward it’s all snow near the i40 corridor according to several reports I’ve seen

80% snow estimated at my location near RDU. Full changeover within 30 minutes or so I’d assume.
