Pattern Its Gonna Be May

Heading to my brothers family around 5 in a 45MPH. Straddled my vehicle over what I thought was a pot hole. Realized it was a black snake. Turned around facing the opposite traffic. Hazard lights on. Carried him into nearby tall grass. Black snakes are awesome! Although he took a few swipes at me before I finally grasped him. Lol (approximately 6ft)

Strong thunderstorms approaching my area.

Though soon after this was severe warned for potential 60 mph wind gusts and 1” hail, I fortunately never saw anything close to that unlike the winds from the 4 hour long power outage causing prior severe warned storm of 10 days prior (5/9). Also the CTG lightning wasn’t bad. But the rain was very heavy for ~30 minutes producing the typical localized street flooding. Rain fell for ~2 hours total due to followup convection. I received a total of ~1.25” of beneficial rain yesterday.

headed back from Sevierville on Sunday afternoon. They don’t call them the smokies for nothing View attachment 147810
Buc ees FTW!
The turnaround on the drought here has been amazing! The last two summers have been plagued with drought! Now the big 4 cities in Iowa are +2 to +6” for the month and the year!

6z GFS ~day 13. Looks like a great time for a Disney Worl vacation.

Remember a couple of years back the GFS kept spitting out maps like this. At that time, it was centered over South Carolina. Maybe it's right this time, or it's back to its old games.
That’s pretty insane. 100 in Orlando and 70 in Tallahasssee.
