Figured there was an upper level trough moving through, which would explain the differences in the air masses between us. There are drastic temperature swings with elevation in these setups. NW Georgia in the great valley is also in the high 50s right now.

Yep. We got up to 57 for awhile but it’s dropped to 54. I’m guessing my job up in Blairsville will see some flakes.

If I remember right, RDU had its earliest last freeze on record this year and if we don’t hit freezing tonight this will likely also go down as the latest first freeze on record? 2024 is a disaster.
