Several sites are pushing top 1 or top 3 latest snow on record for tomorrow in the NC high country. It appears heavy snow has already developed this evening across southern Watauga County above 5,000ft. 1-2” is poss for places like Beech Mountain with even low elevations down to Boone seeing snow showers by Mother’s Day.
 
Snow Shoe WV. Can't access the Beach MTN NC webcam but hearing some reports of heavy wet snow mixing in at times.

Good snow coming down at 4,500ft per Van Denton. Snow levels crashing.
 
Wasn’t expecting that blow up of rain over eastern Kentucky tonight. May aid in some greater snow coverage by morning.
 
Who can modify title for me to include Freeze Potential tonight
 
14 degrees last Sunday is top 2 record for Mount Mitchell. Wow
