Approaching 5000j/kg SBCAPE around here.

Good luck everyone, hopefully the severe winds avoid us.

And even if you think you want it, you don't. These winds are going to be ridiculous for the areas that receive them.

Should be an interesting couple of hours with the composite outflow about to kick W and SW from the storms NE of raleigh and a nice cold pool with stratiform starting to develop. Might try to baby mcs this towards the SW

KSAV had a high of 96, which ties yesterday for the hottest of the season to date. We’ve had no rain but strong to severe thunderstorms are expected after midnight as the big complex to our NE moves SW with still plenty of instability.

Yeah, this is 1 time I would not really mind missing the storms. These storms are capable of producing 80+ gusts. So far, I'm surprised we haven't had those high winds somewhere.

Looks like the storms in SC will end up just missing me (CAE agrees with them partially warning Aiken County...although it may be a bit too soon to tell involving the entirety of this county), and honestly, it's a bummer with how hot it is.
