Have heard tell upstate schools under warnings will be cancelling.

They aren't all cancelling. Poor kids in Greenville County still have classes, just at home on Thursday.

I'd be surprised if there were any cancellations for online schools unless there are widespread outages. Worst case scenario, no Zoom for the rest of the day, depending on when the storm comes in.
Forsyth county where I am cancelled both in person and online due to expected power outages.
I get that in GA, but in NC, they haven't been hyping it here, and In the county, I am in, we're all 100% virtual.
