People who don't believe the world is going to burst into flames or get swallowed up by oceans in 12 years are not "deniers". People who legitimately question the data for a relatively short period of time (since records have been kept, 1860'ish) compared to nonexistent observations from previous centuries, also not "deniers". Those that state we are in a warmer climate but question whether it's cyclical (which we really don't know) or if it's AGW or not, also not "deniers".
Yep I mean its easy to see warming in the means, snow totals, lack of record lows over the last 2-3 decades. What really gets to me is the way the narrative has been built that every event is GW related and every statement has a fail safe well but that's GW too built in.

1. GW is undeniable and at least a decent portion of it is almost certainly from AGW. Even Spencer and Curry agree with this.
2. The blaming of a particular extreme event on GW, especially those not involving actual heat, without a way to prove it is what bothers me.
3. How much future AGW there will be is very much in question. I agree with Spencer and Curry that there's a lot of hype out there for the worst case scenario that is highly likely not going to occur. Climate models aren't all that accurate.

Some statements are fair in regards to not having the data from 1200 or so .. but is it not alarming to see the charts from 1800-now? The fact that the global temperature means haven’t been below normal or near there for 40 years now? And it continues to rise and not stagnate or stop? A specific weather event can’t be specifically caused by global warming that is just weather.. but let’s say the globe continues to warm slowly but surely as data has shows the past 40 years at the same rate.. what happens in this case? One example the oceans begin to get warmer .. slowly of course because deep in the oceans the water is very cold and to be able to churn water enough to warm it up significantly probably takes some good time.. but over time surface water will gradually be warmer than usual and probably more expansive warm waters arise in areas that have usually 60-70 degree water temps may see 65-75 degree water temps .. you expand this warmer water then you have more fuel for hurricanes in more places that hurricanes don’t usually form or sustain themselves .. these are the types of tangible changes we can see and have clear weather ramifications in the long term. If we just sit and wait for global temperatures to somehow correct back below normal or even to normal that’s just not going to help anyone or any of these problems (my motives aren’t to bring back snowstorms to Raleigh that was clearly a joke to calm the nerves but it’s a serious topic) no the oceans aren’t going to swallow up all the land but there’s good data to show that tides are rising and eventually when we get to a point of 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal as a globe effect that could cause 3-4 ft of sea level rise and for people living on the coast lines this will have serious implications to lifestyle .. of course this is 20-30 years down the line so it would probably happen slow enough to where we could just simply move people further inland and be done with the issue but i dont know i Just hate the wait and see and mitigate what ever problems arise down the line because at a point in time there may be more serious implications and then we will be far down the line of any possible solutions other then to hope for the best

Also having JB as the guy to defend your points (the guy everyone in here always gives 0 credibility to every year) is probably not the guy you want on your side

Jb might be a weenie but he is a smarter weenie then you and me. I said JB because he is the only guy I remember. Like I said we have t sides to every truth.

And still believing that global warming is this thing of hyperbole where the lands will all burst into flames and the oceans will swallow us all up is all malarkey there are real and tangible effects to what warming the climate does to the earth. It’s not all negative stuff I took a class on it at UNCC and it was very eye opening and if you have the time and a little money I would recommend taking the class because it is really insightful on the real aspects of climate change that we can expect with the path we’ve been going through the past few decades and such

Agreed smarter than both of us for sure but I would like to see these arguments you speak of and the data you are pointing at as I’ve brought at least some data points to support my claims and show what I’m trying to convey

Hey @NickyBGuarantee how are you planning on getting the rest of the world to go electric as well?
Obviously is going to take a longggg time but every day we’re closer and closer in regards to electric cars .. they are cheaper and run way better ie. Tesla and 5 years ago it was cool if u saw a Tesla driving around but now it’s very common to see several every time you go out .. it’s a process but that’s where the industry is heading .. hence why a bunch of car companies are now making hybrids and such to try and be able to compete

They aren’t cheaper then gas yet from what I’ve seen unless you wants some go cart vehicle. Go buy me that new Hummer EV. Now that’s a nice looking E vehicle.

Man, that is one impressive text wall!

I think it's very difficult to determine the extent to which humans are contributing to warming, unless you're able to account for all other 160 year periods of similar warming (assuming there were any - which i think is a pretty safe assumption) through the entirety of historical climate record.

And I'm not sure we fully understand the extent of Earth's defense mechanisms against a warmer climate. Actually, I'm sure we don't.

Okay true initial pay for an E vehicle will be expensive but Tesla’s are tryin got work that down and they are fairly affordable now for someone making a decent living 30-40 thousand .. another big aspect is that Tesla’s keep their value throughout their lifetime if you were to sell your Tesla 5 or so years after you got it you would get a fairly similar return on it so they don’t lose that value .. also you’ll never pay for an oil change and you’ll never pay for gas and people rarely get new breaks because the car breaks almost on its own when u let off the “gas” petal it slows drastically it’s quite an interesting but easy to get used to vehicle to drive. The increase in electric bill is fairly negligible per month and it will stop using electricity once fully charged .. it’s just an ideal vehicle in every way

They have been saying that three to four feet of coastline would be disappearing for the past 20 years. It may happen in some places like it currently is and it may not happen in some places. The goal posts keep moving forward. Too many interests have a lot at stake in this and future taxes are at stake.

How do Teslas get the power to the wheels without a transmission?

Electric cars blow . I love em for the potential to be very cheap and low maintenance but if you are into cars like me it blows . I mean there just ain’t no work to do on em. No more spending Sunday changing my brakes , checking all the fluids , spark plugs , oil. No more . That Lowkey blows , you lose your intimacy with the car.
