It appears a series of disturbances along a stalled out boundary and active jet stream will result in heavy rainfall and & potential flooding.

The amount of rain forecasted through hour 240 by the GEFS is pretty crazy.

Latest WPC 7 day QPF is 7 inches plus for Huntsville and Chattanooga ,and if you zoom in there are a few pixels with 10 inches plus in extreme north GA and southwest NC. TVA is going to be busy to say the least.

I doubt it will. If anything, I'd say 2 weeks max. However that is still a lot of rain. We need to get out of this El-Nino before we start setting rainfall records again for the wettest year.

Huntsville sucks at anafrontal flurries but they’re damn good at rain. That’s a beastly rain map. Good grief
This is definitely a huge concern for those getting the direct hit with such high totals, but the coastal plain areas have to have all of this water pass through their areas before its out to sea. The flat areas cannot handle this type of water coming downstream.
