Change in Atlanta

For those who may not have heard the news.... Kirk Mellish of WSB Radio is retiring after 34 years, effective the end of July.
His replacement is Christina Edwards (WHNT Huntsville) Christina has worked with Jason Simpson, both currently and at ABC 3340 in Birmingham, so should be very well versed in Severe Weather coverage, as well and the oddities of Winter Weather. Also, being "from Atlanta" she has experience here that should also pay off.

I heard him mention this yesterday on air. I will miss Kirk Mellish and the “Mellish Meter.” Hope he has a great retirement. Was wondering if they would bring someone else in or just use the WSB-TV folks. Thank you for sharing.
