The little guy is trying so hard. Current surface temps are sub-freezing where the HRRR and current radar indicate the northernmost extent of the early AM precip may reach. With the frozen ground, checking morning obs is prudent before heading out along and just south of the I20 corridor in Ga.
NWS Charlestown SC mentioned winter weather advisories in AFD but held off. For their Georgia counties. It’s a wait and see if the dry air can saturate between now and 7am.
Looks like the NAM and HRRR no longer really take the metro Atlanta area below freezing
33 degrees here with rain just to my south.

Some people saw a couple somethings but that's about it. Nothing here as expected.
Had some sleet/rain mix in Columbia.
Yeah, it never went below 31.9 here last night, most of the night was above 32.
Some inland locations def gonna run into the risk of black ice with it still raining at 5pm Georgia/South Carolina.
