Eh well see....people have been cautioning here not to believe the models given the recent trends. I mean have we not forgotten everything hyped up here has been a bust pretty much for the last 6 months?
April things should typically heat up regardless but beyond that it's way too far out to get worked up or hype

Basically long range ensembles ….
The National Forest Service has issued a burn ban for all counties in North Carolina. The best chance of rain we have for the next seven days is a 20% chance late Sunday. Things are dry and we certainly could use a few inches of rain to alleviate the shortage of precipitation we've had during the past six months.
Man, this continued pattern of amplification back and forth between cold and warm just keeps on going. What ever happened to zonal flow lol. This little chart I put together tells the story for CHA since November 1st. An impressive 64% of days have been at least 5 degrees colder or warmer than "normal", with an overall average daily departure of 8.6 degrees, either above or below normal.
Really noticing the pollen now. I hate this time of year.
Agreed. Today is the 1st day I really noticed it by sight. Gonna see yellow dusting everywhere in a week.
Dang! Just walked to my car at CLT after being gone for a week. Looks like pollen haze out there!

Just got nailed here with a very nice storm with heavy rain, some lightning and winds of around 25-30 mph.
You hit the nail on the head with this pattern and the extremes. Zonal flow was nonexistent during a great majority of the winter and it is continuing into the spring months.
I just bought a black truck and there is no point washing it until all this crap is gone.

Today was the 3rd day in a row of Phoenix hitting 105, which not only obliterates another daily record but also again ties with the hottest on record in April. The day prior to the 105 string was 102. Prior to this string, the hottest on record in all of March had been only 100, set on March 26th in 1988.
More 100+ highs are possible next week. Crazy!

Today’s high at KSAV was 87, a whopping 12 warmer than yesterday’s pleasant 74 and only 4 from the record. Also, dew points were ~53 vs the 30s-low 40s of yesterday. Thus, today’s walk wasn’t as enjoyable although the steady breeze helped.
Sunday and Monday will be similarly very warm.

Summer yesterday!
I have a black truck and car and I'm going to see how long I can go before I have to wash them. With no good rain chances in the foreseeable future they might be banana yellow before all is said and done. My wife's car is that new green shade that some of the newer vehicles have these days. She drives the new car and I get the hand me downs. I'll keep plenty of washer fluid in them so at least I can see where I'm going.

Pure nastiness out there today. Hot, humid, pollen, and bugs.
Loving this heat. My only complaint is that my pool is still at 63. Need it to catch up so I can enjoy it

I saw a blizzard in the deep south, and technically we are still in the latest pattern of glaciation and thaw. Just between now and three thousand feet of ice...soooo lol. It has to start somewhere

Beautiful day at the golf course for 9 holes!! Not as good as yesterday’s 38 but a tougher course so a 41 not too bad!

Well we had fropa to avoid another record high today but it'll be back Wednesday Thursday for sure. This is still above normal for this time of year
My Bermuda is toast but I cut everything else. It’s just hard to wrap my mind around that we were snowing less than a week ago and it was upper 80s today.
Ditto as forecasted. Another 87 with low 50s dewpoints, which felt ok compared to how summer will be.
