Pattern Sweatember

October and November are the driest months climatologically at KRDU. September looks to be dry and tolerable as far as temperatures are concerned provided nothing tropical affects the area for at least the first ten days. The chances of that happening are very slim this year even though we are approaching the peak of hurricane season.

Im gonna grade out A-A+ for my August Greensboro temp an qpf forecast. Despite the blowtorch mania being advertised last week of July, it never came to be. Best August Ive ever expierenced wx wise.

September im going -1.8 BN temps and 80% of normal qpf. For Greensboro.
Look for cooler than normal temps through the remainder of 2025 calendar year as you average things out.. With a slightly drier than avg qpf to go with it, 75% normal. To early to call Jan an Feb yet. Will be neutral enso state by then, if not sooner.

As always , root for +PNA on steroids avg for Dec,Jan, Feb.

Honestly, I would say it was one of the WORST August's I've ever experienced. Tons of rain, lots of humidity. It's been a rough month.

Anyone who thinks summer is done is not going to be correct. The 12z GFS brings the heat back, starting around day 10 and still going strong 4 days later. Little to no rain for many of us either.
Warmest the 12z Euro gets us here is 83-84 Day 10-15, which is almost right on seasonal avg, maybe +1-2 . Gfs has it mid 90's. I Know, who my money will be on.

Shettley the worst DP day of the EPS in the day 10-15 range is here below. So on que, Looks like we get our annual September Indian Summer wx. Where you don't want to be standing in direct sunlight from 11-4pm, but at least you want be sweating after getting out of the shower, here in the Triad of NC in the evening. further south, coast , might have some issues with mid-upper 60 DP's.

Love the heat but hate the lack of rain with it!

Yes. We have been hot this summer but August was a relief. Can’t recall an August this cool.

It was slow to ramp in June, but once it did, it was 6 weeks of misery.

It's good it seems over, but I can't help but think we'll pay in some way later, though last night's Euro looks amazing temp wise.
