Pattern NC Only Thread

Sigh. The next 2 days will likely be worse. The 2nd half of this month better be good. Without a calendar, I'd assume it was July/August if I didn't know any better.
Supposed the be in the 80’s here this weekend for highs. I’m not sure where everyone is actually from but we’ve had high temps through December and snow in April! I get it , I’m tired of the oppressive heat and lack of rain but the pattern doesn’t want to seem to break. Don’t like your weather, wait 5 months!

Euro was AN the entire run but on the bright side its AN later in the run is only right around 90 instead of 100. With averages falling as quickly as they are even AN isn't that bad by mid month. The average by the end of the euro at rdu is 82/62 so a blood red +6 is 88/68

I hear ya, I'm just tired of upper 90s and I'm not patient sometimes. Looking forward to low 60's on the morning dog walk and putting on a pullover to not get chilly.

BTW, I ain't seeing 80's this weekend. Hope I'm wrong though..

I'll take what we can get. Almost 90 not optimum, but it's a full tier better than almost 100.

I heard that! I don’t know about 60’s. Give me 50’s. They’ll be here not soon enough. I’m sick of the heat too. Thankful it’s not another 96 after Fran with no power. I stand corrected, they were calling for 80’s (albeit uppers) on Sunday/Monday. Guess the can is getting kicked just like precip!

Hmmm, yea you're right. I could have sworn it was low 90's here for Sun earlier this afternoon, but now it says 86.

Still 91 over your way Sun on the point&click, but maybe GSP will trend that lower.
Yeah. Ol bait and switch for now as this morning showed upper 80’s with lower DP’s. We’ll see as they have been off the last 6 months or so!

That's like saying I stepped in dog ---- instead of cow ----, still a pile

I remember thinking the heatwave in sept 07 was crazy and probably once in a lifetime and here we are just printing 100 in September like phoenix
I just looked up Sept 2007, didn’t care about current heat wave until now, so congrats on that. (still not excited but at least interested now)

This one might exceed that considering consecutive upper 90 days. 101 highest in Sept 2007 (which you probably already knew). Only time reaching triple digits that Sept. Had 99 the day after and reached 95 the day before and a few days the week before. Given the forecast until Fri, this might exceed that even if we don’t get above 101. 🔥 🔥

I was loading trucks at the ups hub on atlantic Ave. That whole summer sucked lost like 25lbs so that Sept heatwave was just the cherry on the turd burger that year

Those trailers get hot asf.

I did some truck loading at my last job a few years back. Not my main role but I did it in a pinch. Sometimes I miss driving a forklift but not on days like this. Now I work remote just looking at numbers all day and getting soft. 🤣

I used to try to get out and unload a container when our unloading team would talk about how hard it is, the last time I did I realized things dont work like they used to lol.

Don't you hate how the late season seabreeze is nothing like the early season
Yeah early season it can really crank through with winds gusting into the 30s. Not sure we even see a late afternoon push this afternoon.

It's also always fun to watch how Seabreeze effects the cumulus fields. Like a drawn line though the sky
