Pattern July Fry

It's been raining hard here at the house for over an hour now. Driveway and yard are flooded. I definitely need to stay out of the banter/complaining thread for a while now.

Right at 2", with maybe a little more to come

Euro OP keeps at it with the overnight lows >80F by Thursday/Friday this week over a large area of the coastal plains.

Fantasy land at the end of the run has daytime highs of 107/108 across most of SC and overnight lows of 89-90 in places like Columbia and Charlotte.

I won't say it can't happen but I'd put that in the extremely unlikely category. GSP has only registered 3 days ever with a low above 79; that was exactly 80 each time. Low to mid 80s for daily lows doesn't seem credible. The EPS basically has just above normal temps for the same stretch. Would still be miserable but not what the OP is cooking.

The GFS shows a couple days like we just had sprinkled amongst some below normal frontal passages, while the GEFS shows similar to the EPS. We'll see, but I'm personally already weary of this weather.
 
I’m standing in The gulf of America currently …. I’m in Honeymoon island West of Palm Harbor Florida. The Gulf is like a bathtub. People can reference any super PC model or W/E you nerds wanna look at for atmosphere 3 months out…… the Gulf is angry and she’s Hot anything in here will strengthen just fine I have no Doubt

Yea sitting around 85 here in PCB feels great.
 
Muggy, but not all bad yesterday, still only 82F today at 3pm.

A better chance for drought relief, itself, would be later, during Nov-Mar per super Nino analogs.

Nothing, but based on the El Nino we are in now this summer will go like 2002 most likely. 1986 did cool off dramatically in October, but it stayed fairly dry. If I remember correctly 1993 featured below normal precip all the way out and into 1994. In 2002 it was hot and dry until September when things went the opposite way. I'm looking for that again this year and on into 2027. If we can get cold air this winter, someone will rack up on ice and snow.
