You guys are killing me with these maps. Still snowing to the east at this time?
seems likely another garbage storm for Atlanta. especially folks NW of. lame!
getting real grumpy, but i'm cheering for my Carolina peeps. (while muttering obscenities under my breath). just better deliver for the biggest snow drought sufferers over there!
i guess i'll go fish and see if any other potential exists (chime in if ya already know). before the pattern is completely lost. hoping us GA and bama folks get something good before winter's end.

I’m shooketh. No chance I’ll be able to sleep tonight before 1am. Sigh. Only got 5 hours last night.
I’m just trying to figure out how I get 14” of snow out of thin air from a ULL that’s coming over a 6,000 foot mountain pass
I feel you! it sucks and I think they are not going to get all of that. Especially, when it is go time. Congrats to them! I think that b*tch a** ice storm was it for us. I will say this though. An ULL is a weatherman's woe. It has a mind of its own. let just see how this plays out.

slight weenie statement here but the presence of a 0.75"+ QPF band somewhere in the carolina piedmont is very doable, i just shudder to think of being the poor soul right next to it that gets 0.21"

The main forcing is at 700mb. Then you actually have Lee-side enhancement in the low levels on the euro once you get a few miles off the mountain chain. We could get a stationary death band for a few hours on Saturday if the 500mb ball digs hard and pivots like the euro is showing.

Happened in Feb 2014. Deform band sat on me and Frosty and dropped 8" in a few hrs. Then the sun popped out and melted half of it by the end of the day, lol.
if we're gonna lose, i personally hope it delivers the dump of their dreams! I better see Mitch, Jimmy, SD, Fro, etc losing their minds. There's still a lot of joy in seeing others' joy.
but yup. ULL could pull surprise! but not putting much hope in that. just going ahead and feeling the disappointment now.
