Does anyone know whatever happened to Robert (FoothillsWx) that used to post alot on AmericanWx? I really miss all of his insight. He was so knowledgeable about weather pattens and things the models would miss.

Although the 12Z model consensus wasn’t necessarily what we wanted to see, folks should keep in the back of our minds the notable 90 day warm biases in the 11-15 over the last 90 days.
Edit: There are also warm biases in the 6-10 though not as large.

The cold air next week doesn’t look impressive at all here. 1 day with a high below 50 and the coldest night is 26. That’s just your run of the mill Late December cold fronts.

Yeah but this isn't nearly as cold as it was earlier in the month. It was 17 here earlier in the month !

Stevo we have about a month to track something and snow. Its never snowed much in Dec here. Now it doesn't snow in Feb anymore either. Man winter is short here. At least the window for snow is short. Miserable 35 degree cold rain occurs from late November to mid March.

Never denied that the torches have ended up busting. Just saying no storms have came with the cold for most of us. Personally I’m not interested in just tracking the next cold shot. I used to be. But now If it’s not bringing a winter storm doesn’t really matter to me if it’s cold or not.
