Misc General Banter Thread

Florence regional airport sitting at -8.8F for the month to date. Not exactly a cool reading site either. November was -0.1F.

I wouldn't mind a late December warmup. I work outside and it's been COLD for a month plus aside from a few days. The cloudiness makes it feel even colder.

Sunny and SW winds that's how we torch. I don't even want to imagine if this was summer

I mean there were places in the Panhandle that hit 80 the other day...
 
The new (to me) format on Pivotol is outstanding. I generally defaulted to Levi's TT site except when exciting weather is upon us since Pivotol generally updates faster, but with the new format, I'll be using Pivotol a lot more.

Not too shabby for a free site.

I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm one of the older members here myself. I thank God that he has kept me healthy and for the most part injury free for most of my life. I'm 61 and the only time I've spent any time in the hospital was in the emergency room years ago to get thirty six stitches in my head because a friend of mine decided it was a good idea to run his car into a telephone pole in downtown Raleigh. God has been most merciful to me as far as health issues are concerned.

Now I'm at the point in life where the people I loved and looked up to are passing away. My father and father in law both died this year. This past Sunday was the fifth funeral I've been to this year. One of my best clients and also a good friend passed away and he was only six years older than me. Time is ticking and we all must face the fact that the end is coming for all of us sooner or later. Until then, we just have to go on living our lives the best we can. I wish you the best and hopefully you can hang around in this world a lot longer than you think you will.

I am 61 also and have never spent 1 night in the hospital.... Praise be to God.

I guess you weren’t born in a hospital then......

You know that doesn't count. I was not a sick kid. However, I did stay overnight when my wife and kids were really sick, but that doesn't count either. I had perfect attendance 10 out of my 12 years in school.... true story.
