Misc General Banter Thread

Oh no the end of the GFS run shows the hottest weather in the last 1000 years of model runs for the Southeast. 120F for MOST of the SE with zero rainfall for the next 10,000 years and an x10000000 solar flare pointed right at the upstate obliterating the entire Jonesville area. Just a horrible, HORRIBLE situation.

Lol if the long range GFS was always right we'd all be dead here 🤣 🤣 🤣
 
JHS is the biggest heat weenie on here. He is basically accu in heat form. We may see 115 in October, but if a snow weenie even mentioned the end of the gfs then he’d burn them at the stake.

Winter is coming baby.
 
I love how Canada stays on fire all summer long and when we get a cool front and nice low humidity, the air quality and smoke, 💩 on everything! 😡

No Powerball winner yet again! Mon jackpot will apparently exceed 2 billion!!

*Edit: This turned out to be wrong. It was based on misinfo from an article that I cited and quoted below after the drawing. After 6 AM this morning, the linked article was corrected to indicate the two winners as @Brent noted below.

Thanks, Brent. That’s strange because I read this before I posted:

There was no jackpot winner Saturday night, however there were Match 5 winners plus Power Play worth $2 million in Michigan, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming.

Monday, Sept. 8 just after 11 p.m. will be the next Powerball drawing, with a jackpot that has risen to $2 billion with a cash value of $918.3 million.

There is no direct strike on Poland. Russia appears to be firing at western Ukraine and looks like it was either headed to Lviv or was EWed. Not the first time this happened. A drone crashed into Poland last month. But looks like it's the first time that Poland has shot down Russian Geran-2s so far since the war started.
 
If Article 5 means anything, its being put to test tonight as Russia has hit Poland with Drones and another wave in

Polish PM, says 19 drones flew into Poland, mostly from Belarus ( might as well be Russia). 1st one came in at 11:30pm their time, last one at 6:30 am. Poland Formally activates Article 4 of NATO Charter. Believe they had located wreckage from 3 drones so far. One hit a house.
Prayfully & Hopefully the whole mess ends. But you dealing with warped in the head/head of state (Vlad) , so good luck with that one.
 
Went to Mexico Beach, FL for a family vacation last week. This is the forest that borders Tyndall where the Stadium Eye picture was taken.

What you can't see is there is a lot of shoulder to head high pine trees. Its recovering, slowly, but surely.

The town has faired well. You can still see where a home was, with concrete steps up a retaining wall to an empty flat piece of ground. A lot has been rebuilt, and still new construction happening, including entire new neighborhoods. If anything the town is probably growing, as there also appears to be a lot of investment into rebuilding / upgrading Tyndall's facilities. They are building some massive concrete bunkers for the 22's on site, and they are flying daily missions.
