Thankfully the Icon had mostly all snow North of 85. Below 85 looks nasty

Anything east of the apps going have boundary layer issues with this next system
Nice 2-3 inch snow totals for Charlotte to RDU, but a nasty ice storm farther south into central SC.
Icon Increasingly pos tilt since 00z after wave interaction. That’s a good checkmark I think 
It isn’t just the AIFS trending way colder with the setup but the icon is as well

Snow hole over my old address, looks legit
Can't have the 850 low centered in N Mississippi not and expect 850s to go to poop to the SE in all but the coldest of airmasses. One run, on to the GFS.

Question...if it is trending colder but does it have rain over the metro ATL and not freezing rain or sleet?
One check for good on the 12z model list. We did have to throw a lot of SC under the ice truck though. **you would assume CAD will work in more for northern GA.

The southern stream every comes ashore overnight tonight, so by 12z tomorrow it will be sampled. Unfortunately the northern piece won't hit Canada until the 12z Wednesday cycle. Could be one of those storms with big swings only a couple days before it hits.

Looks like my house is right on the 540 line here in Forsyth County NC. Probably gong to switch between snow and sleet and end with some ZR. Need the push of cold to be stronger and the low staying weak to moderate, an amped scenario is doom foe all south of Va. Those in the upstate and extreme N Ga look to have some initial sn and then change to ip and then zr, when is the key question.

Icestorm will never happen into the midlands but here’s the icon at the height of the 12z storm. I don’t have great maps but it looked like it was trying to Miller B. Usually the globals have an issue placing a wedge in the correct location at this lead time. Biggest takeaway the last couple runs for me is there’s gonna be a wedge somewhere. How deep is the question.
This should be colder and flatter than 6z. Huge changes in the lakes

This run of the 12Z GFS definitely shifted the snow south into north MS more.

I have to imagine that will register colder at go time
