The Nam is a border event for western nc. My plan as of now is to maybe drive up to soco gap. There 4300ft maybe something will stick up there. Maggie is 3,000 or so ft

FV3 has low stronger and tracking further north which is less snow for north Alabama in general
warmer in N Al. That's too bad. I'm holding out hope for snow falling with temps in 20s. A rarity here in any month, but especially March.

RGEM is a beast for Tennessee, Northern Alabama and Northern Miss.

I think we are still in a good spot for a few inches. Temps will be plummeting into 20s after 6am, 30 at 6am in Huntsville verbatim on 0z Nam

Yes, flowers and a few trees have already put out here. Where snow is on the ground overnight, it could get below guidance.Likely cold biased but funny to look at.

Nam really gives us a decent little snow shower in central Alabama. Probably only result in a inch or two. But if the low is even 50 miles more southwest you'll see higher snow totals
Only an inch or two? Do you realize how much an inch or two of snow is here? I don’t think that happens, but if it does then it would be the most snow BHM has measured since probably December of 2017.
That’s nothing to just scoff at.
The 06z 3k NAM has some light snow showers on the backend of the system.

How can the 3k nam be so different from the 12k? I can sorta understand the convective bands in Bama, but from southern Ark, nw Miss, through west Tenn, that's ridiculous! (by the way I favor the 3k modernweenie)
