Cmc and gfs produced some decent rain totals overnight. The pattern looks good too for rain with a baggy trough over the SE and the WAR building westward toward the coast

Unofficially 15.21" so far this month (need to wait for NWS verification); July record is 16.65" (getting close); last month was 16.86" (record, and no TS to contribute); YTD as of 5:00 PM yesterday was 38.99", so we're easily over 41" YTD given the 1.38" since 7:45 this morning; normal per entire calendar year is 47.33". o_O

Utterly amazing considering the drought and widespread fire panic in May ...

All in all, moving out into time, it looks generally wet (even in SC at points), and also after a bit the temps seem to want to stay at or below normal overall.
Yep, assuming the totals verify, nobody will complain with widespread 2 inches over even upstate SC.
