I picked up a pair of gully washers today. The first one gave me around 0.50, while the 2nd one added about 0.75, so I had a nice 1.25 today.

Nice heat wave coming to texas

Despite my area missing the rain lately, the drought maps suggest that the worst heat will stay in Texas and into the 4 corners this summer. I look for the so-called death ridge to set up along the Texas and New Mexico border and stay centered within 400-500 miles of there most of the summer.

That's the most likely scenario. Don't forget the 606dm heat ridge over northwest harnett county nc

The consistency of these warm lows this month is just insane... I'm thinking probably unprecedented. No end in sight either. May will come out 8 degrees AN or greater with ease.

90% chance of rain today, and looks like zilch! I feel SD’s pain, going to have to drag out the hose today and water! No rain since Sunday

Missed again. Barely enough to wet the ground. Beginning to think the rest of May is a no go for any real rain here.
I really wouldn't punt until you saw what was going to happen with the stuff over towards rock hill. Looks like there is a meso low with that which could keep it going into your area in the next hour
