Wintry Winter Mischief For Upper SE 3/12/18

Energy. You can tell with the dew point and temp lines are far apart, there's no relative humidity or moisture in the atmosphere there. In Webb's image you can see these lines on top of one another, from the ground all thew way up to 500mb, showing full saturation of the column with moisture. From there, you can see Omega maxed out in the DGZ, very heavy snowfall per the sounding.
Oh well. I was hoping for some chance. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be more moisture, but I may be too far SE and SW for flakes.

Anyone notice the line developing in Alabama? The HRRR has caught onto it and each run adds more moisture to match reality it seems. I wonder if this is causing more moisture to become wrapped around the system or if it will produce more tomorrow.

Wxsouth saying these areas could get 1 to 2 inches per hour rate, but it will move quickly.

This is what I was talking about a few days ago. ULL's can do strange things. Seen it many times.... I was basicly told that this would have 0% chance of verifying anywhere outside of the mountains due to the fact that the set-up would not allow the energy to dig that far south. It will be fun to watch tomorrow.

That dot you took the sounding from is right over my house. Looks like fun! LET THE HRRR HALLUCINATIONS BEGIN!!!!

That would be Feb28,2004 dejevue in our backyards Atleast for 1 to 2 hours. Love these late winter ULL, snow will melt as fast as it falls, but man its awesome to see pancake size flakes thumping from the sky with some rumbles. I'll never forget that 2004 event. Some of the hardest, intense snow I've ever seen. And that includes a blizzard in 1993 in the mtns and the crusher.

Temps plummeting here! 43, rain underperforming withthis event so far. Drizzle all day, was supposed to pour all day. Y’all post lots of pics tomorrow!

And I thought the 18z NAM was extreme. Hopefully the 3km NAM can entertain shortly.
